This policy provides guidelines to employees when a stipend (from an outside source, e.g. universities for oversight of student teachers, etc.) is offered for additional work that is not part of their normal duties.
- For purposes of this policy, stipends are defined as additional compensation for work that is not part of the day-to-day duties of any given class of employees.
- Receipt of a stipend must be pre-approved by the Superintendent or his designee.
- Stipends for the additional work required when a teacher is acting as a student teacher mentor are allowed.
- Coaching contracts or other contracts are not covered by this policy.
