PROCEDURE     
SUBJECT:      Services provided by the Washington Ogden Resource Center

PURPOSE:

I. The Ogden Resource Center (ORC) will provide the following services for any public or private (non-parochial) school or agency in Washington that have registered student(s) who meet ORC eligibility:

  • Loan accessible instructional media items and specialized equipment
  • Order materials from the American Printing House for the Blind (APH) using federal quota funds (if available)
  • Attempt to borrow materials from other states
  • Provide purchasing information for materials available commercially
  • Braille transcription fee-for-service
  • Large Print fee-for-service
  • E-files, if available
  • Information and referral
  • Workshops and classes pertaining to accessible instructional media

II. The ORC staff will conduct the annual census of eligible students, the first Monday of January each year and report to the APH.
