SUBJECT: Reasonable Accommodations – Drivers Per Diem

I. PURPOSE:

This policy establishes the position of WSSB on per diem payments to drivers for the purpose of equal access reasonable accommodation for persons of disability employed with WSSB.

II. POLICY:

A. Per Diem payments

Driver per diem payments will not exceed the normal allowable per meal limits as set forth by the Office of Financial Management (OFM) State Administrative and Accounting Manual (SAAM). This will include drivers directly employed by WSSB and drivers employed by staff members requesting reasonable accommodation.

B. In-State Per Diem rates

In-State per diem rates are determined by the OFM Washington State county rate map and rates align with those in effect at the time of the travel event (Color) ** OFM map is not accessible to blind and visually impaired technology.**

C. Out-of-State Per Diem rates

Out of State per diem rates are set in accordance with the US General Services Administration rates and align with those rates in effect at the time of the travel event (http://www.gsa.gov).
