PURPOSE:

Open recreation night is for WSSB students (both on campus and outreach) and their families to have access to the swimming pool and recreation facilities. The definition of a family member is a students' guardians and siblings.

I.    To be eligible to attend WSSB open recreation night you must meet one of the following criteria.

  • Be a current WSSB residential student. Any family member (as defined above) of a residential student is welcome to participate in open recreation night as long as the WSSB residential student attends the activity, a guardian is present, and the guardian is responsible for the siblings while on campus.
  • Be a current WSSB day student.  Unless a day student has pre-arranged plans to stay for dinner in the cottage, guardians are responsible to transport their student to and from the activity. Any family member (as defined above) of a day student is welcome to participate in open recreation night as long as the WSSB day student attends the activity, a guardian is present, and the guardian is responsible for the siblings while on campus.
  • Any blind or low vision student can participate as long as they are accompanied by a guardian. Any family member (as defined above) of a blind/low vision student is welcome to participate in open recreation night as long as the blind/low vision student attends the activity, a guardian is present, and the guardian is responsible for the student and their siblings while on campus.

II.  Family members of students are not allowed to attend Rec Swim if the student is not present.

III.        All WSSB pool policies must be followed while attending Rec Swim.  Please review these policies. A copy of these policies are posted at the pool and are available upon request.
