PROCEDURE:
SUBJECT: Agency/school eligibility for registration with the Washington Ogden Resource Center (ORC)
PURPOSE:
I. Any public or private (non-parochial) school or agency providing educational programs from birth to less than college level for students who are blind or visually impaired may have an account with the Washington Ogden Resource Center (ORC).
II. According to a decision reached by the Assistant Attorney General of the State of Washington dated April 6, 1998 the ORC may not provide services to parochial schools as this practice would violate Washington’s constitution. (Premise-separation of church and state.)
III. Each eligible entity for services must have signed an Account Holder Registration Form on file with at the ORC.
