PROCEDURE:
SUBJECT: Use of State Funds to Support Religious Activities

PURPOSE:

I. INTRODUCTION:

The Washington State School for the Blind does not favor any religious viewpoint. All activities on campus maintain complete religious neutrality. This in no way restricts students from taking part in religious activities OFF CAMPUS. Parents requesting their child attend specific church activities, prayer meetings, bible study, etc., should make arrangements through the local church and then provide WSSB with information regarding the day, time, and transportation arrangements.

A.   WSSB employees are not to use state resources to support any religious activities.

B.   WSSB employees who are on duty are not to transport students to religious activities.

C.   Use of state vehicles to transport Students to religious activities is prohibited.
