SUPPORT SERVICES
WSSB currently provides services in the following areas to support the classroom programs when students have additional needs. Group, classroom consultation and individual pull-out sessions are provided as recommended through the IEP process, teacher/staff and or parent referral.
This staff is also available for outreach consultation concerning students with vision impairments in public school programs throughout Washington and may be reached through e-mail or by phone (360) 696-6321

Speech, hearing and language development and disorders, specializing in functional and social issues unique to students with vision impairments. Program includes evaluation of referred students, individual and group therapy as well as consultation with classroom language and social skills curriculum and American Sign Language classes taught at Hudson’s Bay High School. Consultant Audiologist, conducts hearing evaluations, follow up with impairments including hearing aid management, amplification and auditory processing concerns. On campus twice monthly.
Motor Team:

carries out classroom group and individual programs emphasizing use of fine, gross and sensorimotor movements. Works with fitness program as well as individual therapy sessions designed from evaluation recommendations. On campus three times weekly.
